I've been away from Medium for a few months - now that I'm back I'm surprised to find that the category listings are STILL completely random - they throw out ancient stories alongside newer ones - I've previously asked that we should be able to choose to have them in date order - so that when we click a category we can see all the latest posts in that category - this seems a basic fundamental of _distribution_ to me - how should Medium distribute stories? - one way, and an important way, is by presenting them in date-order category listings - by all means have the curated _recommendations_ listing too - it could even be the default - but give readers the option to click into date priority order - it should be a simple database search action for the tech team to achieve
