I dislike it when fiction is too showily 'literary'. I'm currently posting a novel in progress in instalments here on Medium. It would probably be described as literary fiction if only because it isn't a crime novel, it isn't romantic fiction, it isn't fantasy etc. But those who read it will find the style very straightforward, almost prosaic.
