I didn't, on the whole, enjoy the Ken Burns documentary. I'm not at all keen on that droning voice-over style. The still photographs from inside the Finca Vigia were, however, compelling. And sad. I love Hemingway. I love him as much as I love Melville and very few other writers. I don't care how literally accurate or not A Moveable Feast is – it has a keen accuracy of the heart.
